The Conference Hall is located in one of the most touristy parts of the city of Málaga. There are many worth visiting places within walking distance, including the Picasso Museum, "La Alcazaba" (Arabic palace), a Roman Theater, the Cathedral, and "La Malagueta" (touristy area for typical food and fish dishes).
The gastronomy in Málaga is a very good example of Mediterranean cuisine, the most typical dish in this region is the fried fish ("pescaíto frito"). You can also enjoy the typical Spanish "tapas", visit a classic flamenco show with dance and music or explore the attractive nightlife.
In the surroundings you can find a number of interesting villages. For example Fuengirola, Nerja or Marbella on the coast, or Ronda in the mountains.
