Sierra Nevada is located in the Penibetic mountain range in Andalucia. It is Europe´s southernmost ski resort and is endowed with the Iberian peninsula´s highest summits. The resort is situated in the municipalities of Monachil, Guejar Sierra and Dilar near Granada´s Costa Tropical (100 km.) and the Costa del Sol (150km.). The resort´s village, is at an altitude of 2,100 meters.

Pradollano - The resort village

Sierra Nevada´s village area has been greatly enhanced thanks to the construction of new alpine-style buildings and the environmental embellishment programme. One of the villages most important features is the four-storey underground parking complex with a capacity of 2.880 vehicles. Pradollano offers a variety of services including quality hotels in a range of categories and a variety of restaurants featuring local Andalusian and international cuisine. Sierra Nevada provides excellent customer service to guarantee its visitors and especially pleasant stay.

The city of Granada, whose province is home to Sierra Nevada, has an excellent transportation network which provides easy access to the resort. Transportation to Granada is by newly-constructed highways, a recently remodeled airport (17 km. from the city), and railway station. Nearby international airports are located in Malaga (75 minutes by car) and Seville (2 hours). Sierra Nevada is linked with Granada by a recently constructed 30 km. safe, wide highway. The highway links up with Granada´s new bypass motorway system. Travel time from Granada to Sierra Nevada is 30 minutes.
