The Institute of Optoelectronic Systems and Microtechnology (ISOM) offers in the XXII Science and Innovation Week several activities during the month of November 2022.

The following activities are offered:

1. How does a technology lab work?

General lecture on how the labs and clean room work with a visit afterwards. Limited to those over 15 years of age.

The talk will be given on November 7, 11, and 18 from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 17:30 to 19:30. 

Researchers Alejandro Gallego Carro, Malte Daniel Schwarz, Rodrigo Guedas García and Alejandro Rivelles García have organized this activity as well as the following two activities.

2. Discovering the secrets of a technology laboratory

General lecture on the operation of the laboratories and the clean room with practical demonstrations and subsequent visit.

The talk will be held on November 8, 10, 14 and 16 from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 17:00 to 19:00.

3. Solar Cells: Present and Future of Energy

Informative talk on how a solar cell works at a microscopic level and how it is possible to generate electrical energy from light.  

This talk will be held on November 15 and 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
