This year we are going to the fair… online!
To celebrate the eleventh edition of the European Night of Researchers in Madrid, the Scientific Culture Unit of the UPM is organizing this year a virtual fair in which, among many other things, attendees will learn to know the role that the technologies in the development of the UN 2030 Agenda to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
On November 27, through workshops, experiments, and interactive meetings with scientists, attendees will be able to discover and participate in a day of sustainable research and innovation that researchers from our university carry out to achieve this finish.
These virtual meetings will address the topics that make up the 9 UPM thematic Communities: Collaborative for the decarbonization of UPM campuses, Transition towards an Emissions-Free University – TULE | Use and management of natural resources, UPMWater, Campus Circulars, Artificial intelligence and robotics DIH – AIR4S, UPM Health Tech, Mobility of the Future – MoviTUR, Open Science and Big Science.
“Graphene and its role in the energy challenges of the future”.
Institute of Optoelectronic Systems and Microtechnology (ISOM). Hours (2 different sessions): 10: 00-11: 00 and 11: 00-12: 00.
In this live online event, the position of graphene within the Sustainable Development Goals will be introduced at the beginning. Then, the manufacturing processes of various graphene forms and their assembly in devices intended for economically viable and efficient green energy applications will be shown; specifically, solar cells and supercapacitors.
To attend the virtual fair and participate in the different activities, it is only necessary to register in advance by filling out a form that will be provided soon on this page. https://eventos.upm.es/57956/detail/noche-europea-de-los-investigadores-upm-2020-online.html
